"You like it?" I ask him, grinning wide as he steps in close and leans for a kiss. It's easy as anything now to rest my hands against his chest as our lips meet and I keep it short and chaste before reaching down to uncurl his hand from the leash holds so I can take them.

"You should see some of the looks I've been gettin' since I started setting up," I tell him though I can't quite keep the smile off my face. I nod for him to take a seat on the blanket before gently leading Macha and Shannon to the little curved stake I put into the ground and tying their leashes on it. They're still close enough to touch and they'll be lying in the shade, but we definitely don't want them wandering off accidentally.

Plus, I'll have their treats to keep them occupied soon enough.
