It's the dogs that wake me up. Their tags jingle, claws clicking along the floor, and I open my eyes to see them nosing at Bits and begging for pets. I smile and roll onto my back, looking up at him sleepily.
"Bonjour, mon chou," I murmur, reaching out for his hand with a lazy smile. I pull myself into a sitting position and tug him down next to me after sending the dogs off to lay in their beds. "I'm glad you came over."
