Derek isn't running anywhere near full speed, slow enough that Bitty can keep pace but not quite catch him. He veers off suddenly, panting as Bitty skids past him in an attempt to stop, and Derek barks and pounces on him, tackling him down into the leaves.

He lets out an amused huff and nips at Bitty's ear, nosing at his neck and licking at his muzzle before he hops off of him, prancing playfully on the other side of the clearing.
